Calibre AE-39
Three hundred and forty-two parts,
and not one of them hurried.
Designed in-house, decorated by hand, and regulated in six positions over eleven days before it is allowed to leave the atelier.

Free-sprung balance
No regulator index. Rate is set by four solid gold timing screws, which keeps the amplitude stable as the reserve falls.

Seventy hours
A single barrel, wound by a tungsten micro-rotor, holds three days of running - long enough to set the watch down on Friday.

Anglage by hand
Every bridge is bevelled on a rotating wooden lap, then black-polished at the steel. Eleven hours per movement.

Finished twice
Assembled to prove the geometry, disassembled, cleaned, and assembled again for the client. Nothing is shipped on a first build.

Aevum began in 2011 when three watchmakers left the Vallee de Joux for a converted boathouse outside Geneva. We make one thing, slowly. The rose engine that cuts our dials was built in 1911 and has never left the room.
